I have been inspired by the halcyon days and the Art Nouveau movement when designing this handle. The lines exude a certain lightness and freedom. The first idea came to me during a visit to the centre of Darmstadt, which was a centre for the Art Nouveau movement during its heyday. I have also had the
handles in my grandparents’ house in mind, when working on this design.
I have aimed to make it very versatile, and to ensure that the user will not grow tired of looking at it. The handle can be seen as a bold statement to a kitchen cabinet. I would love to have this rather ornamented element mounted on a very simple cabinet front, but it would suit a country house kitchen equally well.
