FSC® CERTIFIED
Through our FSC® certification (FSC®-C173037), we are committed to ensuring that the wood we use in our products comes from responsibly managed forests that respect both nature and the people who live off and with it.
Since 2022, we have been Chain of Custody-certified (CoC) which means that our value chain – from forest to finished product – meets FSC standards. Our work is continuously verified by an independent certification body to guarantee full traceability and documentation.
MORE CERTIFIED FORESTS - ONE HANDLE AT A TIME
We are committed to increasing the share of FSC-certified products. We believe that sustainable forestry is essential to protect both the environment and the communities that depend on forests. We work closely with our suppliers to ensure compliance with FSC standards and to continuously increase the share of certified wood products. It is part of our overall strategy to support responsible forest management and contribute to a better future for forests and the people who depend on them.
A RESPONSIBLE CHOICE
If you choose to buy furnipart products, you choose to buy from a supplier that actively promotes responsible forest management. With our FSC® certification, we work to guarantee that the wood we use is not only legal but comes from forests that intend to safeguard nature as well as the people who work in and depend on it.
FSC® is the world's leading certification scheme for environmentally responsible forestry. Tree felling is done with consideration for the natural regeneration of the forest, protection of biodiversity and endangered species. FSC® also contributes to handling climate change by making sure that no more trees are cut down than are planted and by promoting preservation of old trees.
The certification also guarantees proper working conditions, fair wages and safety for forest workers – as well as respect for the rights of indigenous peoples. And more than that: Forest owners commit to empowering local communities, granting them access to healthcare, clean drinking water and education.
