At furnipart, we’ve been creating enduring design since 1977 – in both expression and quality. We believe the most responsible choice begins with products built to last. Handles that stand the test of time – and the passing of trends. However, we also acknowledge we have an impact. That manufacturing use resources and leaves a mark on the planet.
That’s why we work every day to understand and improve – from the materials we choose to how we produce, from our partnerships to our packaging. Our approach to sustainability is driven by curiosity and commitment. We ask questions. We seek knowledge. And we take responsibility.
THE ROAD AHEAD
The world is changing, and so are we. We are committed to making smarter and more responsible choices — exploring better materials, optimising our production processes, and designing for longevity. Towards 2027, we are committed to taking these efforts even further. With innovation and responsibility at the core, we will expand our use of more sustainable materials, refine our processes, and uphold the highest industry standards. We have set five goals. One direction: forward.

CLIMATE CHANGE
We're aligning with the Sciense Based Targets intiative to do our part in limiting global warming. From our operations to our supply chain, we're committed to reducing carbon emissions across Scope 1, 2 and 3. By 2027, our climate targets will be officially approved - because actions without accountability isn't enough.
GOAL: 01 -
CIRCULARITY
We believe in second chances — for materials and for the planet. By 2027, we will increase recycled materials to 25% of our product volume including core components like Zamac and aluminium. We’re also reimagining packaging, with at least 50% made from recycled materials, and introducing take-back solutions in selected markets to close the loop.

CREDIBILITY
Sustainability without transparency is just a buzzword. That’s why we’re working toward Cradle to Cradle™ Silver certification and aim for 80% of our products to carry Environmental Product Declarations (EDPs). By 2027, we’ll also be certified under ISO 14001 — because credibility is built, not claimed.

CARING
Sustainability is nothing without people. By 2027, we will strengthen ESG capabilities across our organisation, advance Employee Engagement scores on ESG, and play an active role in the communities we’re part of — from local initiatives to responsible supplier relations.

Regulations are evolving — and so are we. We’re committed to staying ahead of ESG and sustainability standards, not just for ourselves, but to support our customers in making better choices, too.

CO₂ REDUCTION
At furnipart, we’re committed to reducing our carbon footprint and being part of the solution to global warming. We focus our efforts where we have the greatest impact – by switching to greener energy sources and working closely with our suppliers to reduce emissions across the value chain. Whether it’s converting our energy sources or partnering with suppliers to reduce emissions, we see sustainability as a shared responsibility.

PRODUCT CIRCULARITY
In a world striving to reduce waste and emissions, product circularity is key to lasting change. At furnipart, we design handles for longevity — and for new beginnings through our work on reuse, recycling and testing of upcycling. We set measurable goals for every step, from sourcing to material health and contributions to circular systems. For us, circularity is an opportunity to rethink resources and design.

SOCIAL COMPLIANCE
As a Danish company, human rights and social fairness are deeply rooted in our culture and close to our hearts. At furnipart, we continuously promote these values, not only at our headquarters in Søften near Aarhus but also throughout our supply chain. We are committed to ensuring fair working conditions, ethical practices, and respect for human rights across our operations, fostering a positive impact on both people and communities.
CERTIFICATIONS AND COMPLIANCE
To ensure both high quality and minimal environmental impact, we rely on recognised certifications and testing standards. These tools help us set and uphold ambitious goals to integrate circular principles throughout our production and supply chain.

CRADLE TO CRADLE 4.0 CERTIFIED®
Several of our products are Cradle to Cradle certified, emphasizing material health, recyclability, and social responsibility. Our goal is to expand this certification to even more products going forward.

FSC® CERTIFIED
We carefully select wood materials from FSC-certified suppliers, ensuring that the forestry practices used are responsible and considerate of both environmental and social impact.

REACH COMPLIANT
We fully comply with REACH regulations, guaranteeing that our products are free from harmful chemicals. This not only protects our employees but also ensures the safety and wellbeing of those who use our designs.
