Being a responsible manufacturer of furniture handles and knobs, we must ensure that all our products comply with applicable national and international regulations and standards for environmental and health requirements.
All our products – from knobs to handles – are REACH-compliant which means that we actively identify and manage the risks associated with the substances we use in our production. REACH applies not only to chemicals in industrial processes but also to materials in your furniture; from dyes and metal treatments to surface treatments. Therefore, REACH has a major impact on furniture accessory manufacturers like us as we need to ensure that our products are safe to use and pose no risk.
MINIMISED USE OF HARMFUL CHEMICALS
Furniture handles and knobs are small but essential details in your interior design – and they may have an important impact on the indoor climate. As is the case with many other everyday products, they may contain harmful chemicals that affect the chemical indoor climate in your home. It is often difficult for consumers to navigate the complexity of chemicals and harmful effects. The REACH regulation was therefore introduced in 2006 to provide clarity and better protect both people and the planet.
COLLABORATION AND TRANSPARENCY
We work closely with our suppliers to ensure that all materials we use comply with REACH regulations throughout the process. Our goal is to eliminate harmful chemicals from both products and production while maintaining high quality and transparency. We achieve this through a systematic approach to chemical management, continuous risk assessments, controls and tests to ensure that we constantly meet the most recent requirements and the highest standards.We take responsibility for identifying and eliminating problematic chemicals in our products. In collaboration with Bureau Veritas, we conduct annual tests in accredited laboratories under TÜV certification to ensure that our products meet REACH requirements. We also work with REACH in a different and more proactive way than many other companies: We continuously identify relevant substances and have a close dialogue with our production partners, allowing us to address potential risks early on. This approach not only ensures accuracy and quality in chemical assessment; it also ensures that our products are always safe to use and are fully REACH-compliant.

Knowledge sharing is key to our work. As our production is spread across several countries, we meet different standards for handling chemicals and the environment. We consider it our job to inspire and use our influence to raise awareness among our suppliers. We have already come a long way with this work, and we can constantly tell how the knowledge we provide creates change.
