OCEANIX
The world’s oceans are under pressure due to the growing plastic crisis, with an estimated 8 million tons of plastic ending up in the sea every year – about 20 tons per minute. If ocean plastic isn’t collected and reused, new plastic production continues, driving further oil extraction.
At furnipart, we took a bold step in 2018 to rethink our production, proving that sustainability and great design can go hand in hand. OceanIX transforms ocean plastic into high-quality furniture handles—not because it boosts turnover, but because it’s the right thing to do.
SUSTAINABILITY
We are well aware that our knobs and handles alone cannot save the world, but we are taking small steps in the right direction and proving to ourselves and to the industry in general that there are different ways of doing things.
