Adam Laws is an Australian designer whose studio is located in Sydney. His creative form concepts and innovative technical design solutions have been awarded over 20 design awards. His back catalogue of work includes brands such as Harley Davidson (USA), Youmans Capsule (New Zealand) and ChessPlus (Australia). Adam Laws is often inspired by Australia’s beautiful and wild nature with many of his designs for furnipart reflecting the sea.

For example, the MANTA handle’s characteristic curved shape is derived from the beautiful manta ray. He is the designer behind EDGE STRAIGHT, a staple in our collection since 2012. The enduring popularity of EDGE STRAIGHT continues to grow, with new colors and lengths still being added today.

Manta was inspired by the graceful movement of giant Manta Rays. The organic form highlights the natural grain of timber in a shape that feels so natural to use. The knob morphs to the longer handles in a way that clearly defines the family relationship.

Inspiration for Edge Straight came from the desire to design the ultimate edge mounted profile handle. Edge Straight has timeless elegance and an excellent grip. It is versatile, easy to install on standard panel thicknesses and economical to produce in a range of lengths and finishes.
