HANS SANDGREN

You will find Hans Sandgren’s studio located in a beautiful old harbour front building, practically on the quay edge in the Port of Grenaa, Denmark. Hans Sandgren Jakobsen’s designs are above all functional. In collaboration with furnipart, he has designed handles and knobs that reflect the essence of Scandinavian design, characterized by a refined minimalist philosophy of “less is more.”

The American Shaker movement’s emphasis on functionality influencing beauty is a consistent theme in Hans Sandgren Jakobsen’s work, seen in furniture for the Danish Naver Collection and the Horse Shoe Chair for Japan’s Actus Interior.

Hans Sandgren Jakobsen served his apprenticeship as cabinetmaker and graduated from The Danish Design School (now part of The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Schools of Architecture, Design and Conservation).

TERRA

Play with shape. Light and shadow. Terra is an expression of these elements, reflecting the bold and dynamic design of the handle. The distinctive concave front transitions smoothly into a cylindrical base, creating a sense of fluidity. Seen from the side, the handle takes on a conical shape, with a wider base than the front.

BOWL & DROPS

Bowl is a large and classic handle that not only fills the room, but also sets a unique mood. Its easily accessible design makes it the perfect choice for those who want both functionality and aesthetic appeal in their decor.

Drops, a true gem of design. The drop-shaped geometry draws the eye's attention and acts as a focal point and a unique design element. The surface seamlessly transitions from smooth to round, with well-executed transitions, adding finesse to the design.
