RIKKE FROST

Rikke Frost, an industrial designer who graduated from the Aarhus School of Architecture, is based in Aarhus, where her studio is located. From award-winning furniture to experimental interior projects, Rikke Frost designs pieces that are not only seen but also felt and experienced. With a holistic focus on sustainability and longevity, her work reflects a passion for honest craftsmanship and future classics.

With some of her designs as Sideways sofa for Carl Hansen & Søn and the Caleo lamp for Le Klint she was named the overall winner of “Danmarks næste klassiker” (Denmark’s Next Classic), a Danish design competition broadcast on DR1 during 2019. She loves to combine materials, creating designs that are tactile, functional, and visually striking.

Rikke also designed Volumi, a handle in furnipart’s OceanIX collection, created specifically for this material – it could not have been made from anything else. The subtle color variations and texture from the recycled plastic give it a unique character, breathing new life into plastic waste from the world's oceans
